Exeter & East Devon Cycling Pages

Cycling routes and events, mostly Audax related, starting in the East Devon area

Calendar events.

The 2007 Paris-Brest-Paris attracted over 5,000 riders. More than 300 were from the UK. Results are on the AUK and ACP websites. Next year you can enter the UK's own long event, the 1,400km London-Edinburgh-London.

The 2008 Valley of the Rocks 200 and Kernow & SW 600 each attracted a select group of riders. I'll be running both events again in 2009. This website will be updated in due course. Meanwhile, check the AUK calendar for updates.

Entry forms and other details will be available via the Audax UK calendar. Note that AUK members can pay online.

The Permanents

These are for experienced and self-sufficient cyclists. They may be ridden at any time, but entry should be made well in advance to the organiser. Although the routesheets are each written for a particular start location, you can ask to start at any other control along the route.
Entry forms and other details are available via the Audax UK Permanent events list.
Note that these routesheets may be updated only occasionally.

Obsolete events

Blasts from the past. Mainly nostalgic interest. They could be ridden for fun, or could form the basis for DIY routes.

Inoled 3w LED dynamo/battery lights

The New Inoled Extreme is a powerful 3w lamp comparable to the best halogen lights. There is no bulb to burn out, so it is fit-and-forget. Inoled claim 30 lux output for the Extreme compared with 20 for the +20 model (which I am no longer stocking). They are made in Germany and comply with German and thus European legal requirements. They are compatible with hub dynamos such as Schmidt and non-regulating sidewall dynamos. There is also a micro-processor controlled battery pack available. Here's where you get one.
