Mad March Coasts and Quantocks

200k - 7th March 2009
Pippa's event. It visits both south and north coasts of the SW peninsula, and climbs over the Quantock Hills in Somerset. Look out for Dead Woman's Ditch on top of the Quantocks.

Mad March Exeter Excursion

100k - 8th March 2009
A gentle brevet populaire to accompany Pippa's 200.

Devon and Somerset

100k - 7th June 2009
A straightforward route from Honiton to the Somerset coast and back. The route is the same as the old permanent event. A good little leg-stretcher after Saturday's Valley of the Rocks 200.

Kernow and Southwest

600k (click for map) - 30th May 2009
This is a challenging and scenic route that covers the SW peninsula. Although some sections are lumpy, there are others on which you can make up time.  It is a route for experienced randonneurs who know how to pace themselves.  There is a permanent version as well.

It starts at Whipton in Exeter.

Valley of the Rocks

200k (click for map) - 6th June 2009
Easy navigation and excellent views. The ride starts from Honiton and heads north via Dulverton to Lynton on the North coast of Devon. From there it takes you along the spectacular coastline of the Valley of the Rocks and Woody Bay to Combe Martin. After that you will head south on gentler roads and lanes to Crediton. The final leg consists of lanes and roads back to Honiton.
